Holy foot up their a**! I thought this was going to be something that read between the lines, but it blatantly says we are "non-mom moms" and Marie Osmond is on the advertisement for the page! I'm surprised she didn't revolt!

Oh, no they didn't. I did my duty and sent a scathing email (very scathing if I do say so myself.)

My name is Erika, and I work with Edelman on behalf of Teleflora’s “America’s Favorite Mom” program. Thank you so much for reaching out to us to express your feelings about this issue. After closer examination, Teleflora recognized how this may have been offensive to moms who have adopted children… moms who are indeed real moms in every sense of the word.

This show of insensitivity was in no way intended and Teleflora offers its deepest apology. It was always Teleflora’s intent to salute and celebrate all moms.

Please know that in response to the concerns expressed, Teleflora immediately changed the name of the “Non-Mom” category to “Adopting Moms,” which has already been posted at AmericasFavoriteMom.com.

On behalf of Teleflora, I would like to offer my best wishes to you on this Mother’s Day.

I took care of 4 children total who have been adopted.. first the two boys, Anthony and Rowan, and then twins Xander and Princess Liah (as I liked to call her) and having that experience, I believe that woman who adopt children DESERVE the title of MOTHER, MORE than that of the women who just get knocked up.. They make a choice to accept and love a child that would otherwise not be loved or accepted.. That is what being a mother is all about..
