That's it!

I need a village of people blowing away Lucy's fever. This last rise has got to be the last one. Lucy (who was taking these past three days better then I was) is all done being sick. She's figity and uncomfortable. She is hot inside and cold outside, she doesn't understand why I won't bundle her in a blankie. She doesn't want the water I make her drink. I was devastated when that thermometer started rising again tonight. She takes motrin, it takes an hour to work and about an hour before she can have more her fever starts hitting the ceiling. We got to 104.3 today ... I NEVER want to see that again. Another thing we could loose is the cold howling wind ... we'd like to see temps above zero please. Hotter outside and cooler in Lucy's body.

Oh Lucy sweetie, you send those extra 5 degrees outside honey.

Blowing the fever away from out west. Thankful I am not a smoker, because it is a long ways.

Stacy, have you tried alternating Tylenol and Motrin? You can do that when the fever gets that high. See what your doctor/nurse says, but every time my kids have had high fevers, we can do a dose of Tylenol before the Motrin wears off. It can help take the edge off. I HOPE today is better. She's got to turn the corner any day now.

Here in the good ol' Canada, we swear by Tempra to reduce fever. Not sure if it's available in the states. Blowing from here, too, and with the 60 mile an our winds we've been getting, hopefully, it'll make it all the way to Lucy's fever!

Awww, I'm so sorry that Lucy's feeling so yucky! I hope she's feeling much better very soon.

So this is totally random, but it worked for us: One day Elijah had a really high fever and I was freaking out. I read online about this folk remedy that involves putting washcloths covered in egg whites on the feverish person's feet. I have no idea how it works, but his fever went from 103.8 to 99.8 within 20 minutes...
