so when I cook dinner Lucy often likes to join me creating her own concoction with ingredients. It's a great way to get rid of those very expired herbs and spices, and Lucy can be engaged in this project for as long as I need her to be (and longer). It is NEVER EVER a clean project, especially now that my vacuum is broken beyond repair and a new one won't be coming until that tax refund comes.

It does look like a very fun mess!
Aeson is starting to love helping me in the kitchen, too. When we were making cupcakes a few days ago an entire cracked egg with all million shell pieces ended up in the mix....oops! He thought he did a really good job and started clapping. I just started smiling, laughing and clapping, too. What else is a mom to do?

Oh, that's hysterical! We have a Luci, too, who loves to cook (make messes) in the kitchen! :)
