Dear Lily

Lily, I totally get you. I want a dog too. I have two cats and love them like you love your bunny but still it's not exactly the same. I mean who takes a cat/bunny for a romp in the park? I also think a dog would be a lot happier then a cat/bunny if I wanted to lay my head on him while watching tv. I don't have to get my parent's permission to get a dog but I have to get the permission of my finances and my time. At least you and I are going into this deal with our eyes open right? You understand dog behavior and you have a plan for how to deal with it and I understand dog expenses and time needs and haven't quite figured out that plan. Actually I think you're ahead of me in this game Lily. We can still call it a race, whichever one of us gets a dog first has to send the other one a signed photo of the dog, so the dogless one can at least have a photo until such a time that our dogs can play together in my backyard during the August picnic hmmm ...

I know the feeling. I have two cats and I do love them dearly, but they just aren't dogs... I grew up in a family where we at all times had at least one dog and there is no one as loveable as a dog.

Dogs are fantabulous!!! Who is the cutie in the pic? Y'know me, always partial to the Pit Bull/Pit mixes :)

I want a dog too. I went to a site today that had the sweetest Great Dane. I know, I know a Great Dane is a HUGE responsibility but he would be like a pony.

Get a dog! Yes, do it! I have had dogs ALL my life, sometimes 4 at a time when we lived on a farm. Dogs are to people what cheese is to pizza, or gloves are to Lucy- get a DOG! :) Even my beat that destroyed 200 ft of lattice work as a pup (read: up to like 4 years old!) is perfect. Your pup will love on you and Lucy big time. May i recommend a big ol' Lab??

No matter how bad my day is, how terrible my kids are acting, or how awful I look my dogs always love me to pieces and greet me enthusiastically. I love my dogs.

p.s. and they are both mutts from the pound.....mutts are the best!
