Sunday

Today was an ok day. The photos make it look more fun then it actually was. Lucy and I were not having a good mom/daughter day. She was a little irritating to me and I think maybe I was a little boring to her. I tried to take photos of the fun times so I could blog about it after she went to bed, that way I could go to sleep with happy Lucy thoughts ...

We baked cupcakes (wish we could send some to Nancy and Makenna)

I told Lucy not to touch the lights on the decoration "just look at them" so here is her toddler way of circumventing the rules and regulations!

We decorated the pretty Christmas tree ...

Lucy washed the dishes ...

Holy Crap! Makena and I had the same kind of day yesterday. She would not engage in anything but to irritate me. I would have been over there in a heart beat to eat cupcakes had Tesfaye's bike not been stolen! He took the car to work. I would have driven to MN. There is no distance I would not travel for a cupcake :)

Love the Ethiopian ornament on the tree! We have to put ours up but fear that Makena will take it all down!

I love that Lucy is washing dishes in her rain slicker! lol
Ya know, some days are diamonds, some days are dust... seems like you managed to find a little of the first, even in a lot of dirt! lol

Stacy, Nancy, I'm right with you there ladies! The terrible twos comes with some lovely moments (You've captured Sunday's well, S!), like this morning when I videotaped Thad doing his new dance move--he says "Check it out, check it out!" over and over while thrusting out his arms and dancing wildly. Hilarious. Then, there are those other moments....which happen about 17 million times a day, where he gets mad because I won't let him do something the way he wants or because I won't do something the way he wants or because....well, who knows why! AUGH!! Can I have a cupcake, too? :)

Some times I think Lucy and Miriam were separated at birth! "Looking" at the lights.. that is SO something she would do. Actually, Sleepy Puppy would likely be the one touching the lights. *sigh*

Bravisimo with the rain coat! Dishes can be so darn fun (hmmm....), but boy can they ever leave you drenched. You are a thinker. Lucky Lucy!
