So Lucy has a crush on our friend Roman.
I think the crush might be mutual as he dropped everything
at his job and came down to see her as soon as he heard she
was downtown.
They had a nice little catch up chat about bad guys
and the probability of taping them to the ceiling
as a crime deterrent.
Lucy then showed Roman her slivers. If I even glance
at her slivers she runs away screaming, 'just leave them alone
they are fine"
but Roman, he's allowed to use tweezers to pull them out
and Lucy didn't even flinch. That is true love.

That is so so sweet!
So super-duper sweet!! This reminds me of my daughter's relationships with her uncles....I'm so blessed to have positive male role models in her life.
Just a hint for splinters - and if she won't let you get near them, it probably won't work anyway. But we rub a little orajel on the area and let it sit for 2-3 minutes before trying. I don't think the orajel does a great job numbing but it's enough to take away that surface pain. Then I plop her in front of her favorite TV show (currently Scooby) - you know the one that an earthquake could happen and she wouldn't notice - and then go at them with the tweezers.
He is crushable. Just the way he's totally at her level talking with her = can he join your family?
