For my birthday ...
I had a little party with all my favorite people: Lucy, my mom and dad, Mel and Morgan, Sara, Deb and the boys and auntie Jen (who got to escape half way through, which should probably be considered HER birthday present). We had pizza from the best pizza place in the world (happens to be just up the street). The kids got to jump around like crazy outside. We had strawberry shortcake for dessert. For my birthday Lucy and Morgan got to split a set of Bitty Twins about which Lucy had a complete sad meltdown (Morgan can't take that baby home, I want that baby, Morgan can't have that baby etc). Whew! Of course I did what any super stellar "no spoiling in this house" mother would do ... I bought her the missing twin doll, I had to do it (seriously mom and dad). Lucy is not a child who asks for or begs for anything (besides gummy bears). Normally at gift opening time she could really care less about the "things" in life, so when she got all emotional about a doll I had to follow through in hopes (oh the hopes) that she'll actually play with this doll. She might have to play with him in a tent in my parents back yard with me throwing away money like that. In my defense I stuck to my ground last night sending Morgan out the door with his doll while lucy sobbed and sobbed.

Happy birthday lady!!
Happy Birthday !
And for the doll . I would have done the same :)
Happy Birthday. I'm waiting for you to stop by with a piece of YUM-YUM leftover strawberry shortcake.
From your son-in-law: How was your birthday? Was it good? What did you got from your birfday? Shouldn't Lucy make da cake cuz it isn't his {her} birthday? Did you blew all the candles?
It was soooooooo sad!!!! I felt like this horrible awful person who was leaving with what Lucy perceived as HER doll. I was stuck.....Then Morgan started crying cause he didn't want Lucy to have HIS doll.....it was a MESS!!! I was so worried about Lucy and that I had made lucy hate morgan for stealing her baby!! So in my opinion Stacy did the thing possible!!!!
Happy Birthday! There is a box of wine up here waiting for you when you can get here! How lucky are you to spend your b-day with all those good looking young men....
Happy BDay Stacey, sounds like you have loads of fun. My Bday is today!
You know, it makes me really mad that we used to live just a few blocks from each other but didn't "meet" until after I moved to Colorado. How many times do you think we passed one another on the street? Or at Jakeenos... since we ate there all the time. IF we still lived there, I would have had fun wishing you a happy birthday in person. Still, I am so blessed to know you now and hope this year brings lots of joy and happiness.
