This morning ...

I witnessed one of Lucy's little preschool friends being mean to her. OMG I wanted to kick that little kids' *ss! I am not trying to pretend that Lucy is a total pacifist when it comes to peer relationships BUT the sad sad look in my sweet girl's eyes brought out the mother lion in me so I turned my back on the little bully and gave my girl
kisses and told her she was sweet and loveable and a friend to all. Seriously this stuff starts when they're 3? Ugggh. Don't mess with my kid people. Don't do it.

Oh I am soooo that way! In portugal, 2 little boys on 2 separate occasions messed with my girl- one pushed her hard, one slapped her across the face (and the father of the little terror laughed!. I wanted to throw both those little creatures in the ocean. It might have been better if Mal had cried, but like Lucy, she just looked really, really sad.

Btw, today's security word is "croch".
Hmmmm. Not going there! :)

I still find myself trying to protect my teenagers from hurt feelings (being rejected by a girl,etc)....it doesn't end...girls can be particularly "catty", i hate to say....i had more drama in one year with my 5 yr old foster daughter then in all the other years with my boys.

Please educate me how you did not do a smack down?? My babies are still little and my little girl is only 9 months old...but I'm already afraid that I might go crazy when the first bully comes around. I'm from NJ...we get nuts! My husband is thinking about raising bail money for the inevitable.
