Winter

It's WAY to early to start whining. It's only December 1st and we haven't even left Christmas break yet but still ... still ... I am left here wondering how we're going to make it through. I think snow is beautiful but winter is so limiting. The days turn to night before the work day ends. It's cold outside. Parks are not the friend of a 2 yr old who doesn't like cold wind. It's limits my energetic 2 yr olds physical energy to stay home. Malls offer some relief but my independant girl hates holding hands and is quick as lighting. Maybe some of you know what I am talking about but keeping an eye on a little kid who is not attached by a stroller, sling or hand is nauseating. It's like trying to watch two things at the same time; her and the rest of the world. We tried to get some relief on Friday night by going to an indoor playland. Lucy had a lot of fun and she definately released energy. I hope the germfield didn't plant one in her!

Oh my, I feel you. We are contained by the weather and the darkness. Makena doesn't expend enough energy to take a nap some days, which makes for a very uncomfortable day for both of us. We are further limited (most days), since we have lost use of the car.

Boy do I know!!

I heard you got some snow yesterday. At our house, the sun sets at 4:45... and I start looking at the clock, wondering if I can sneak the kids into early bedtime. Have you seen the Target circular today? Look for the mini tramp they sell online. Or find something similar. That looks like it could entertain Lucy for 15 minutes or so!

She is so precious!
I agree about winter, while I miss the snow, I'm quite happy walking on the beach each day!

Cathy, that's so funny ... I was asking for a mini-tramp for Lucy for Christmas this year! I'll have to check the Target on-line. Thanks.
